Lisbon Bridge at night

Panorama created from several photos taken from my cell phone, Sony Ericson K800i. The quality is rather lousy, and the focus even worse, but i still like the result. What we see here is Lisbon in the back, the brigde in the right and a factory in the left side. The most lighted places, that produce higher reflexes in the water are the bridge and soccer club ”Belenenses” stadium.

“The Studio” – CGI Logo

I was asked to create TheStudio logo in 3D, from a vectorial 2D design.
There were two main concerns in this. One was with the 3D shape itself. This logo is formed by some floral and art noveau like shapes, but in the vector art, there were no sense in depth, so a constant checking with client was needed. Second, i was asked to experiment with some different shaders and finishes, from broken stone, wood, concrete and even some more crazy looks, like glass.

This is a close-up shot of water flowing through some copper colored rocks. The algae certainly make these rocks look like a painting. Not a particularly clear and happy one, rather a more mystic, darker toned painting/subject. I was able to catch some focused and unfocused areas quite nicely, which i find to be good in this.
