Hi, here is my 3D showreel. check out some of my latest works and some oldies out together in this reel.
Unfortunately i cannot show some of the cool stuff im working right now, including a personal project in spare time, but i’m very excited about it and will post asap.

I’m a Freelancing 3D Artist & Digital Designer with over 8 years of experience in CG, 3D, Photo Retouching and Web Design.

Yorn “The CorlYorns”

Introducing the CorlYorns: a fully 3d animated ”mafia family” style characters. Main concept was to achieve a look between video games (GTA Mafia references) and a more realistic and polished look. The whole project was made for a 40’ tv spot hi-res prints as well as web interface.

My part was all Lighting and Rendering, as well as some specific shading; compositing, hi-res rendering, Vfx (smoke, water fx) and last but not least physics simulations.

Update #2– Meet the Corlyorn Family

Here are the poster renders i did for hi-res prints. I’ve included some of the fine details in each character. Great modeling and texturing from José Alves da Silva (aka Zeoyn). I then made lighting, some shading, rendering and photo retouching to add lots of details and subtleties in the final pieces.

Ocean Water Test

All done with After Effects with Psunami plugin (thanks Guilherme) Shine, Particular and some more magic.

Rough test for look and concept for an underwater ocean look, future to be developed in 3D.

Lisbon Bombing

Hopefully this day wont ever come!

Project made for CgSociety’s Allan Mckay Holywood VFX workshop. For the Backplate photo i used a digital panorama i had taken before, check it out here.

It’s meant to be an exercise, not a 100% finished and revised work. There are a few changes i could make and revise, but i dont have time right now. The time involved was approximately two weeks

Cristo Rei Demolition

Hi there. Final comp for the Cristo Rei Demolition, 1st exercise of CGWorkshop with Allan Mckay. I’m not entirely happy with some passes and layers, however for an exercise i think it’s more than enough.

Hollywood VFX Concept Tutorial

Hey! I’ve recently finish some cool projects for a VFX Workshop taught by Allan Mckay.

One of the most important steps in building up a cool shot is undoubtedly creating a first nice concept.

Here i will show you guys an example of such a concept and a nice way to show it to cliemts /supervisors or for personal reference, either with a single image or a very rough animated version / animatic.

It’s just a photoshop composition of Los Angeles after an earthquake or such. Check it out, as well the step-by-step image. In the end there’s a brush video tutorial and also a downloadable photoshop brush for anyone who wants it.

ExtremeMusic 3D Flash Website

Extrememusic, a world leader in soundtrack and custom music/sound fx, pretty much as Sony BMG or similar, asked us to develop all 3D content that would be used in the Flash Website.

The idea was to create a bad-ass robot with they’re logo. After that, we needed to create 3d animations for 8 sections of the site.

My work involved part of the designing process, modeling, texturing, creating all materials and lighting, and animating some shots.

The website was a major success, and was finalist in 2008 FlashForwardAwards.

TAP Airlines – Fly Higher TV Ad

This is an older project while i worked at Ingreme. The only part involving CGI is the ending, with the flying plane.
The plane is all 3D. I’ve modeled, textured, camera matched and rendered it. And with a bit of post-production it came out pretty well.
